There is a lot to learn about life in Canada.  Some parts of our culture may be similar to yours, and other parts may be very different. 
 

• Give yourself time to get used to living here and don't expect to understand everything right away.
   

• Ask Canadian friends for help or seek guidance from your university or college advisor.
   

• Get involved in clubs, activities or jobs on campus to meet other students.
   

• Make use of public transit to explore different parts of Guelph, or even different cities close by.
