SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER
International students who are without family or support in the city are lonely and vulnerable in a global pandemic. Many have had their circumstances flipped on them, resulting in lost internships, reduced support from home,
and isolation from their normal support systems.
As a volunteer, you will support International Students through practical, spiritual and social engagement, and create a community and family for them here in Canada.
Our programs are run by volunteers who donate their time and resources.

There are several ways to volunteer:
Conversation Partner
Meet an international student once a week for coffee/tea and conversation.
Airport Pickup
Pick up returning or newly arriving students from the airport and drive them back to Guelph
Career Mentor
A 3-week commitment to teach a student about the Canadian workplace.
Delivery Driver
Help deliver welcome bags or gift bags to students at various times in the year.
Friends for Dinner Host
Host a pair of international students for a holiday meal.
Share your Skills
Share a skill (e.g. cooking, woodworking) with a student who is interested in learning.
Life in Canada Guide
Help guide students through new processes (e.g. purchasing a car,
signing a lease, opening a bank account)
Meal Prep/Baker
Prepare meals for students in need.
Bake desserts for student events.
